Animal-splicing tycoon game Let’s Build a Zoo is getting dinosaur DLC
If you’re starting to tire of splicing up the same old animals into DNA hybrid monstrosities in park management sim Let’s Build a Zoo, there’s some potentially exciting news on the horizon; you’ll soon be able to fancy up your adorably terrifying creations into something even more exotic thanks to the arrival of the game’s newly announced Dinosaur Island on 23rd May.
Let’s Build a Zoo, if you’re unfamiliar, takes the familiar framework of classic zoo tycoons, tasking players with importing and breeding animals, managing staff, and fashioning an appealing park using scenery items, shops, and amenities in order to keep guests happy and the money rolling in.
There are two twists on that familiar formula though, with a morality system – giving players the choice between keeping everything aboveboard and taking a more exploitative path- plus the aforementioned DNA splicing angle, enabling players to create and exhibit the likes of Crocoducks, Giraffephants, and Chickow.
Let’s Build a Zoo’s new Dinosaur Island DLC significantly boosts the number of available options players have to work with, by introducing 50 new creatures to resurrect, splice, and exhibit, rustling up everything from a capysaurus to a donkey-ceratops.
Elsewhere, Dinosaur Island adds a new campaign to play through, new enclosure types, a new research tree, plus a sizeable helping of new prehistorically themed shops and decorations.
Dinosaur Island will cost £7.19/$9.99 USD/8,19€ when it comes to Steam and the Epic Store on 23rd May.
