DaBaby Will Not Face Charges Following The Shooting At His North Carolina Home (Update)

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, DaBaby has been officially cleared and won’t be facing any charges regard the shooting that took place at his North Carolina home late last month. The decision follows the incident involving an intruder that attempted to enter the home of DaBaby, who shot him in the leg in self-defense.

In recent court documents filed by the Iredell County District Attorney, the case against the DaBaby has been reviewed and the investigation has officially been completed. It was decided that the court will not proceed with any charges and that DaBaby was protecting himself and his property.

As we previously reported, back in late April it was confirmed by the local police chief that the suspect jumped the fence to get on DaBaby’s property with a sprawling 8.5 acres of land, despite multiple “no trespassing” signs located throughout the estate. DaBaby shot him in the leg where he was found wounded on the football field of the property.

During the 911 call he placed following the shooting, DaBaby said this about the incident:

“I shot him in his leg. He’s trespassing on my property and calling me by my name. I don’t know what he’s here for, what he’s here to say, what he’s here to do, but he’s shot in the leg. He’s neutralized until you guys get here.”

After the shooting, DaBaby hopped on Instagram to give himself praise for not killing the intruder but wounding him instead. “Chose not to take a n***a life the other day & it felt great. Buddy ain’t deserve to go, I step righteously. Heal up & live my boy! Just don’t bring ya a** back,” he wrote at the time.
