Mom Finds Boyfriend Naked In Bed With 7-Year-Old, Plows Him With Car When He Ran

A Texas man was arrested this week after a woman found him naked in bed with her child, and then the mom mowed him down with her vehicle. 29-year-old Delmer Orlando Ortiz Licona is facing charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child over the incident in August 2021.

Local news station Everything Lubbock reports a woman called 9-1-1 around 1 a.m. on August 8 in a panic. She told the dispatcher that she had just found her boyfriend in bed with her 7-year-old. When the unnamed woman heard the operator pick up, she started yelling:

“What are you doing to her?!”

She then told the dispatcher why she needed an officer at her home.

“I just found my man, huh, whoever lives with me, naked in the bed with my daughter.” She continues, “please hurry, he’s running away, please hurry.”

When the dispatcher asked, “And he’s your boyfriend?” The woman responded:

“He’s supposed to be, but you hurry up, or I’m going to kill him. I’m going to f*****g kill him. Please hurry, please hurry. I’m fixing to kill him, hurry please, please hurry, please f*****g hurry. He’s jumping the fence. He’s f*****g jumping the fence. Hurry.”

While still on the phone with the dispatcher, things escalated even faster after the woman threatened to kill Licona. She hopped in her car and started following him, then suddenly the operator heard a “thump” on the other end of the line.

“He’s in the alley. He just got in front of my car. He just got in front of my car, sir,” she answered. “Did you hit him with the car?” the operator asked.

She answered,

“Yes, he jumped right in front of my car. He jumped right in front of my car, sir.”

She told 9-1-1 that he was okay and still moving. In April, police attempted to interview Licona about the sexual abuse investigation. He told an investigator he did nothing wrong and was innocent during a phone call. The police reports show he repeatedly refused to attend scheduled meetings with the investigator, so the case was presented to the criminal district attorney’s office.

On May 3, 2022, Licona was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center after an arrest warrant was issued. He is held without bond for an immigration customs enforcement detainer.
