Rihanna Channels Bad Gal RiRi In A$AP Rocky’s New Music Video For ‘D.M.B.’.

Rihanna brought Bad Gal RiRi out to shine in A$AP Rocky’s new single D.M.B. She didn’t show up in the vocals–that wait continues. But, Rihanna did star alongside her bae in his self-described “ghetto love tale” music video.

Nearly five minutes long, the new drop marks Rocky’s directorial debut–an accomplishment he told Insta-followers makes him feel proud.

PROUD 2 ANNOUNCE MY DIRECTORIAL DEBUT D.M.B. VIDEO OUT NOW!!! THANK$ 2 ALL INVOLVED WHO HELPED & $PECIAL THANK$ 2 MY LADY FOR THE MOTIVATION & ROLE,” Rocky wrote from his verified account.

A$AP Rocky kept the track’s lyrics straightforward, describing a woman riding for him. And when they’re together, the couple alone inspires their movements and rules, especially when it comes to social acceptability. And if there’s anything we know about real-life Rihanna and Rocky–that’s right up their alley!

In the first verse he raps,

“Share my clothes with my b**ch like she my sis
I don’t beat my b**ch, I need my b**ch
Shе clean my crib, she feed my friends
Shе keep my secret, she keep my fridge packed, my freezer lit
That’s how deep I get, negative degrees
What’s the type of b**ch I need?”

But, by the bridge of the song, Rocky leans into the vulnerability of falling in love,

And baby (I fell in love with you)
My angel and my Goddess, when my head get clouded
My head get cloudy, my thoughts get cloudy
You’re my soulmate

And the video follows the same flow with hot flashes of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky enjoying the fast and high (literally) life. Scenes featuring blunts, cups of alcohol, parties, restaurants, and even a trip to the hair salon roll by.

At one point, viewers see multiple renditions of the same scene: Rihanna’s character bailing her rockstar out of jail. Each time, the two lovebird characters shared a ride-or-die embrace.

The fast-paced montage slows down to what looks like a wedding. A$AP Rocky’s character flashes a smile revealing ‘Marry Me?’ spelled out in gold grills. Rihanna’s character returns the energy with grills reading ‘I do.’ While fans spun out over this moment, multiple reports state Rihanna and Rocky did not tie the knot in real life.

Per Entertainment Tonight, Rocky and Rihanna were spotted filming the video for D.M.B. in New York City last summer. Now, the real-life couple is expecting their first child together!
