Beyoncé lost the fight with the nature fund for a piece of land

American singer Beyoncé and her husband, rapper Jay-Z lost the fight for land in East Hampton, New York. According to the New York Post, the object was received by an organization that helps nature, The Peconic Land Trust.

The plot of more than a hectare belonged to the daughter of the famous architect Richard Meyer, Anya, and her husband. The rapper planned to expand his family’s holdings in the city and bargained with the owners. As a result, the architect’s heiress decided to sell the object to the fund for $8.5 million.

“There were a lot of offers before the fund contacted me in early November to discuss a possible sale. As a result, the owners decided to refuse other higher offers and make a deal with the trust in order to preserve the land.

In December 2021, the popular British singer and model Dua Lipa started a massive renovation in her London home, which caused outrage from conservationists and local authorities. The activists opposed the cutting down of trees and the demolition of some buildings. The artist bought a home in January 2020 for 6.75 million pounds. Lipa decided to rebuild the house – to build a new chimney, replace windows and convert the basement into a cinema, terraces, and a pool should appear on the site.
