Drew Barrymore apologizes for mocking Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s trial.

The actress said that she really likes to read the fascinating scandalous details of the case. Drew Barrymore now regrets joking about the domestic violence allegations made during the lawsuit between the two actors.

“It dawned on me that I offended people when I made fun of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and for this, I want to deeply apologize,” Drew, 47, began her appeal in a minute-long video posted Sunday on her social networks.

The actress really appreciates those who criticize her in such ambiguous situations because constructive criticism can be instructive, and it helps to move on in the right direction. 

“I can be more mindful and better in the future because all I want to do is be a good person. I really appreciate the depth of this moment, and I will change… Thank you all for helping me along the way and teaching me. Thank you,” the actress added. 

The scandal erupted during Friday’s episode  of The Drew Barrymore Show , where the actress got into an argument with guest Anthony Anderson, and it was widely publicized in the lawsuit.  “It’s, like, one layer of insanity or seven layers of insanity ,” she said of that trial. 

Anderson shared that he loves to just sit and read transcripts of what they did with each other. Barrymore said she watches the trial every evening and asked,  “What about the burnt body? And why Honda Civic?  , referring to a text message the 58-year-old Depp sent to his friend Paul Bettany, in which he fantasized that he hoped Heard’s rotting corpse was decomposing in the “damn” trunk of a Honda Civic. Barrymore then called the trial  “so exciting”  and gave her final opinion.
