Chris Paul’s Mother & Wife Assaulted By Dallas Mavericks Fan During Game Four

Chris Paul’s Mother & Wife Assaulted By Dallas Mavericks Fan During Game Four

While Mother’s Day should be a joyous occasion, it was anything but that for NBA baller Chris Paul. According to ESPN’s source, during Game Four of the Western Conference semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks, his wife Jada and mother were harassed and assaulted by a Mavericks fan. The source says A fan pushed Jada, and Chris’ mother, Robin McMenamin, also was attacked.

In addition, Jada was followed up the aisle when she left her seat. To make matters worse, she and Chris’ children reportedly witnessed the harassment, which left his family feeling “very unsafe.” The Phoenix Sun’s point guard was very upset with the incident and did his best to try to defend his family. As the young fan was escorted out of the arena, Chris tried to get close to him and stated, “I’ll see you later.”

Chris didn’t stop there. He also indirectly addressed the situation on Twitter, writing, “Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans, but the fans can put their hands on our families….f**k that!!”

Shortly after the incident, many people commended the fan for his actions, including the Mavericks organization. They released a statement stating, “It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.” Rapper BRS Kash stepped into The Shade Room and commented on the assault, saying, “I Woulda Had To Take That Fine Cuz Buddy Gone Be Nowhere To Be Found Later!” At this time, it’s unclear if Chris will be pressing charges against the fan.
