Chappelle had no injuries; the attacker needed the help of doctors – while communicating with the guards, he injured his hand. “He was a transgender man,” Chappelle joked from the stage.

In 2021, the comedian was under fire for making jokes about transgender people and claiming that “gender is a fact.”
