UK Charts: Nintendo Switch Sports And LEGO Star Wars Retain The Top Two Spots

This week in the UK charts, there aren’t any changes at the top at all! April’s major Switch release, Nintendo Switch Sports, has held on firmly to the number one spot, with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga also keeping its position right behind the motion-controlled game.

Some other Switch games have seen a nice little boost this week — Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a mainstay in the top ten, but it’s climbed back into fourth, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land has climbed all the way from ninth to fifth. It seems like a lot of people can’t get enough of the first proper 3D Kirby game, and we don’t blame you!

One surprise sees Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle hop back into the top 40, sitting pretty at 36, even outselling Breath of the Wild. There have been a number of buyout rumours around the game’s developer Ubisoft, which has some of us worried considering we’ve heard next to nothing about the sequel, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, since its reveal at E3 last year.

Outside of Nintendo-related games, the top ten has seen the sudden return of the PC and PlayStation martial arts brawler Sifu, after not even being in the top 40 for a good few weeks. Perhaps last week’s update — which our sister site Push Square covered — drew in a lot of new players?
