Pastor petition on Kanye West for using his sermon in song. The music album Donda brought Ye not only new listeners and money but also new lawsuits: the rapper was sued because of his song. The Pastor is suing Kanye for 70 seconds of his sermon, which is more than 20 percent of a five-minute track. In addition, Moten claims that his voice is used in the intro and is looped throughout the song.

According to the clergyman, this is a prime example of how the music industry “deliberately and blatantly sample other people’s sound recordings without consent or permission.”

The Pastor also filed a lawsuit against record labels Universal Music Group Recordings, Def Jam Recordings, and GOOD Music. The priest demands compensation for the damage.

The song was featured on West’s album Donda, which was released last year. Moten is disheartening that “the music industry deliberately uses the sample without informing the right owner and without asking permission.” In addition, Pastor is suing Universal Music Group Recordings, Def Jam Recordings, and Good Music, for which he is seeking a settlement. Western officials declined to remark on the happening.

This is not the first time Yi has used immovable patterns from certain letters or other records. For example, in 2010, samples were “borrowed” from the 1969 King Crimson song “21st Century Schizoid Man” for its Energy Number. Earlier, the rapper had not formally applied for a claim.
