Brooklyn Teen & Friend Recorded TikTok Videos With Loaded Gun When She Was Fatally Shot In Head, Reportedly
A Brooklyn family is mourning this week after 18-year-old Adriana Graham was killed in the lobby of her apartment building. Detectives say the teen and a friend played with a gun while recording TikTok videos last Tuesday according to a Daily News report. She was reportedly shot in her head moments later. Her family, however, slams the TikTok story.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 2:46 a.m. on May 4 and found mortally wounded Adriana Graham in the lobby of the Harding Arms Apartments in Crown Heights. Medics rushed Graham, who suffered from a bullet wound to her head, to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. She died there Friday.
Adriana Graham’s Death Deemed A Homicide By NYPD
Detectives allege that Graham and her friend, who has not been identified publicly, were playing around with a gun when it was discharged. Police made no arrests, but NYPD deemed Graham’s death a homicide.
According to her Facebook page, the teen attended W.H. Maxwell Career and Technical Education High School in East New York. Family and friends mourned the teen’s death on social media, some posting videos of a balloon release vigil and other tributes for Graham.
Adriana’s Family Slams TikTok Story
A woman name Bimaa Washington, who identified herself as Adriana Graham’s sister on Facebook, slammed the Daily News for reporting that the late teen had been playing with a gun on TikTok. The news outlet shared the tip from detectives, but Washington called the report “silly.”
Yall are silly as h*ll . . Idiotssss ! New York Daily News Long Live Adriana though
Susan Semple, 36, a Harding Arms Apartments resident, told the Daily News on Tuesday that young people often hang out in the lobby who don’t necessarily live there. “They hang out too much in this building,” she lamented. She also offered her condolences to her family.
