Bring on the Britpop again! Jarvis Cocker has been a hugely welcome and illuminating contributor to the Pops docs in recent weeks, and we’re able to hear more from the great man throughout the week as his new memoir is being read by Jarvis himself. Pulp were famously heroically unsuccessful for many years, Jarvis forming the band in the late seventies and then having to wait over a decade before anyone paid them any kind of attention, with all kinds of misfortune along the way, and over the week Jarvis will recall numerous stories from those early days, many of them ridiculous but, in his words and delivery, all hugely important in the making of the man and the artist.
