Random: Sorry GameCube, LeBron James Likes The Nintendo 64 More
King James, otherwise known as the Los Angeles Lakers’ player LeBron James, recently held a Q&A on Twitter, and unsurprisingly there were a number of video game questions thrown at the basketball superstar.
One, in particular, that’s already received quite a bit of attention on social media is a question from the technology YouTuber SpawnWave – who asked him what system he liked more out of GameCube and the Nintendo 64.
Fans of the 37-year-old will no doubt be interested to know it’s…drum roll…the N64 from 1996. It resulted in all sorts of responses from the Nintendo and wider video game community on the platform. It’s worth mentioning how the N64 was a better-known system during its time – selling more than 32 million units. In comparison, the GameCube sold just over 21 million units.
LeBron also mentioned how he was up for some “Madden”, spoke about his favourite movies (Coming 2 America, Godfather and more) and revealed Ken Griffey Jr. was his favourite athlete outside of basketball. He also recently celebrated Liverpool’s FA Cup win.
You can check out LeBron’s full Q&A with the fans over on Twitter, and see him in action on the Nintendo Switch in NBA 2K22. What system would you pick, if you had to choose – GameCube or Nintendo 64? Tell us below.
