(Update) Rod Wave’s Domestic Violence Case Dismissed

Earlier this month Rod Wave found himself in trouble after he was arrested in Saint Petersburg, FL for battery by strangulation. Paperwork later showed that the arrest was connected to an accusation of him choking his ex-girlfriend while their children were present. Now it looks like his case has been dismissed.

On Thursday, Rod’s attorney Bradford Cohen took to Instagram to announce that the case has been dismissed.

Cohen said, “Myself and my main man David Bigney @bigneylawfirm represented Rodarius Green aka Rod Wave on his arrest last week, in Osceola County for an alleged domestic violence case. We are thrilled that this misunderstanding is behind him and he can move forward with a successful career. Sometimes misunderstandings can be misconstrued and it isn’t until all the evidence and witnesses are reviewed that the right decision is made by the States Attorney.”

As previously reported, the affidavit revealed details of the alleged incident where he was accused of choking his ex until she couldn’t breathe after he accused her of talking to other men. He then left in his 2021 Grey Dodge Durango. There was a second incident where it was alleged he came back a second time and accused his ex of taking his cell phone, while at the home he was accused of damaging two storage shelves near the front door.

As mentioned before, he was taken into custody following a traffic stop where he was riding in the passenger seat of his 2021 Grey Dodge Durango. Authorities identified him by the photo on his driver’s license. He was later released from the Pinellas County Jail on a $5,000 bail the following day.
