Talking Pictures: Christopher Lee, Sunday, 21.30, BBC4

It’s a bit week for Hammer fans, with Peter Cushing turning up later in the week, and before that a tribute to his old mate Christopher Lee, who would have been a hundred this week. The pair of them probably kept the British film industry going single-handedly in the seventies, their horror films among the few pictures made in this country that enjoyed critical and commercial success, and we’ll hear about them in the first doc, followed by one of the ghost stories he read for a series that was stripped on BBC2 late at night back in 2000, and the one that’s not on DVD it seems.
