The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is available for pre-order, sales start tomorrow
The new Xiaomi Mi Band 7 will launch tomorrow, but you can already reserve one on the company’s storefront at JD.com. Actually, there are two versions – regular and NFC. While they will be available simultaneously in China, chances are that the global launch of the NFC version will come later (that was the case for the Mi Band 6 NFC).
Anyway, there’s no word on pricing yet. For the 6th generation, the regular model cost CNY 230 while the NFC one was CNY 280. European prices were €45/€55, respectively.
The new generation promises a series of updates, starting with a larger display – 1.62”, up from 1.56”. Xiaomi claims that the usable screen area has been increased by 25%, which will make checking your health and exercise data easier.
Speaking of, the blood oxygen tracking will be improved – the band will monitor your SpO2 reading all day and will vibrate if it falls below 90%. This could help you deal with snoring and sleep apnea.

The band also has a training load calculator based on EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption) calculated on data from the last 7 days. It will give you advice on how much to rest to recover and will guide you on your quest to gain muscle or lose fat.
Some rumored features are yet to be confirmed – an always-on display mode, built-in GPS, a smart alarm and others.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi announced that its smart band offerings have reached 140 million sales in total. The 6th generation played its part in that, reaching 1 million shipments in the first month of availability.
