Batman artist Tim Sale dies

Comic book artist Tim Sale passed away at the age of 66.

His most popular work is the comic book series Batman: The Long Halloween, which inspired director Matt Reeves to create the 2022 Batman movie. Collider writes about it.

“It is with deep sadness that I announce that Tim Sel passed away today. He left when the love of his life was by his side. And he loves you very much,” fans were told on Twitter.

Taking to social media on June 13, DC co-publisher Jim Lee admitted to the hospitalization of “the legendary artist due to serious health problems.” Details of the disease were not reported.

Sale’s other comic book credits include Batman: Dark Victory, Superman for All Seasons, and Catwoman: When You’re in Rome. The artist has also left a mark with Daredevil: Yellow, Spider-Man: Sadness, and Hulk: The Series for Marvel. In 1999, Sale received the Eisner Award in the Best Artist category.
