Yvette Arellano Arrested After Mohamed Accused Her of Domestic Battery

For weeks, 90 Day Fiance fans have been asking if Yvette Arellano is still with Mohamed Abdelhamed.

We all saw Mohamed’s cheating texts and the little segment at the end of the Tell All Part 2.

A stunning new report claims that authorities arrested Yve on charges of domestic violence earlier this month.

Is that true? The answer is complex. So is the situation.

Allegations of domestic abuse are extremely serious, so we want to be as clear about this as possible.

On August 15, 90 Day Fiance Season 9 star Yvette Arellano was charged with Battery and Assault Against a Household Member.

Albuquerque PD issued these charges following an alleged incident with estranged husband Mohamed Abdelhamed.

A representative for Yve spoke to Entertainment Tonight to strongly condemn the accusations.

“What Mohamed did is he created these false accusations,” the representative accused.

“So that just in case Yve wasn’t going to stick around,” the rep continued, “he would have a backup plan which was the U-Visa.”

The rep explained: “That way, he would stay in the U.S. and not get deported.”

A U-Visa exists for people who have been victims of a crime.

Simply put, this is a safety net whose purpose is to keep dangerous criminals from threatening victims with deportation.

“There is no proof of Mohamed’s domestic violence allegations against Yve,” the rep asserted.

They added: From my understanding, there is footage from Yve’s home that night, and there isn’t really anything that came of it.”

The rep then commented: “It’s just a really strange scenario.”

But … what exactly did Mohamed accuse Yve of doing to him?

Things become more complex at this point. The police report is essentially just a writeup of what Mohamed told them.

It begins with Mohamed playing them an alleged recording from July in which Yve appeared to be yelling at him about household chores.

According to the police report, Mohamed said something to Yve about not hitting him.

There is no mention of any sounds of any actual violence, just of him mentioning it while apparently recording himself.

Sometimes victims record themselves. Other times, people with bad intentions use recordings to create a narrative.

The allegation of domestic battery appears to come from when Yve discovered the affair.

According to the police report, Mohamed claimed that Yvette wrestled him for his phone.

His allegation is that her knee at one point pressed against his neck while trying to uncover evidence of his adultery.

Mohamed Abdelhamed allegedly sent a series of texts to a mysterious other woman, promising to leave his wife as soon as his green card is secure.

No one should wrestle someone else’s phone away. Even if fans may be able to understand the emotion behind it.

Frankly, if you can’t trust your spouse with their phone, that’s your bigger issue.

Incidentally, Mohamed told police that he suspected Yve of cheating on him. But he did admit his own affair to the officer. Authorities observed no injuries on either of them.

We don’t know what happened. None of us have seen the home security footage. And we weren’t there.

What we do know is that the leaked text messages show Mohamed and another woman plotting for him to stay in the US after divorcing Yve.

No matter what the truth is, this is an upsetting situation.
