The Umbrella Academy has been renewed for a fourth and final season on Netflix. Cast set to reprise their roles in the final season include Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore. Additional casting news will be announced at a later date. 

Season two of The Problem with Jon Stewart premieres October 7. The new season will consist of six episodes. Jon Stewart leads with compassion and humor as he takes a deep dive into some of the most important issues of our time. Using comedy and common sense, the series will feature tough, topical and culture-moving conversations from the perspectives of stakeholders, experts and individuals confronting these issues. 

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will recur in the upcoming fourth season of Prime Video’s The Boys. No word yet on who he will be playing in the fourth season. He will reunite with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke who is The Boys showrunner. Fellow cast member Jensen Ackles appeared in a major role in season three. 

Best In Dough premieres on hulu September 19 with the first three episodes. Three episodes will premiere through the finale October 3. In a world where there seems to be little agreement on anything, there is one great unifier… the universal love of pizza. “Best In Dough” brings together pizza obsessed competitors from all walks of life to showcase their pizza slinging skills and battle it out for a cash prize. Season two of Los Espookys premieres on HBO September 16. The six episode second season finds leader and gore enthusiast Renaldo haunted by the ghost of a beauty pageant queen, while Úrsula enlists an old acquaintance to challenge the political status quo. Úrsula’s well-meaning sister, Tati, is adjusting to her life as a newlywed, while balancing a new gig, and Renaldo’s ominous best friend, Andrés, tries to find his place in the world after appeasing his inner demons (literally). Meanwhile, Uncle Tico is searching for a new purpose after his valet career is derailed. 

Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci and more, is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. The series will premiere on Netflix this fall.

Ethan Hawke is the voice of Batman in Batwheels, the upcoming animated series debuting as part of the preschool block on Cartoonito on HBO Max and Cartoon Network. The upcoming half-hour special Secret Origin of the Batwheels premieres on Batman Day, September 17. The full series will launch this fall. 

Joe Pesci will star in Peacock’s new Pete Davidson comedy series Bupkis. The series is a heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. The series will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known. He will play Davidson’s grandfather and Edie Falco also stars as Davidson’s mom. 

Ewan McGregor will star in Showtime’s upcoming drama series A Gentleman in Moscow. The series is an adaptation of Amor Towles’ novel. McGregor will lead the cast as Count Alexander Rostov who, in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, finds that his gilded past places him on the wrong side of history. Spared immediate execution, he is banished by a Soviet tribunal to an attic room in the opulent Hotel Metropol, threatened with death if he ever sets foot outside again. As the years pass and some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history unfold outside the hotel’s doors, Rostov’s reduced circumstances provide him entry into a much larger world of emotional discovery. As he builds a new life within the walls of the hotel, he discovers the true value of friendship, family and love.

AMC has re-titled their upcoming Maggie and Negan The Walking Dead spinoff series. Previously announced as Isle of the Dead, the series will now be known as The Walking Dead: Dead City. 

Peacock is developing the animated comedy Best Buds from Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’ animation company. The adult animated series follow a guy who works at a flower shop and his best friend who he helps get a job there too. 

Sasha Roiz and Lilah Richcreek Estrada will recur in the upcoming eighth season of NBC’s Chicago Med. The new season kicks off September 21. 

Ricardo Chavira will recur on Netflix’s Glamorous. Chavira will play the driver of Kim Cattrall’s character. 

Charli D’Amelio and her mom Heidi will be competing on the upcoming 31st season of Dancing with the Stars. The new season will air on Disney+ and premieres September 19. The rest of the cast will be announced soon. 

The Real Housewives of Dubai two part reunion premieres on Bravo August 31. Host Andy Cohen sits down with Nina Ali, Sara Al Madani, Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brooks, Lesa Milan and Caroline Stanbury to discuss the season. 

ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos will be bringing back an in studio audience with the new season. No live audience has been used the past two seasons due to the pandemic. Hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro, season 33 premieres October 3. 

Nickelodeon has renewed Danger Force for a third season. The live action series is a spinoff of the series Henry Danger. 

ABC’s Norman Lear: 100 Years of Music and Laughter premieres September 22. Jennifer Aniston, Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Poehler and Octavia Spencer are set to appear and celebrate the iconic television pioneer Norman Lear in the upcoming special. Additional talent and performances will be announced at a later date. 

Charles Babalola will headline Showtime’s upcoming new series King Shaka. The series tells the story of the Zulu Empire founder Shaka and his unlikely rise to power, uniting multiple tribes across vast stretches of southern Africa in the early 19th century to transform his power into legend, on par with history’s most seminal figures. The outcast son of a Zulu Chief, Shaka is a visionary who is prophesized to become a king like none before him. In ferocious battles that test the body and soul, in alliances that test the bonds of love and friendship, a complex sociological system plays out that renders the human cost front and center, for the victors as well as the vanquished, all in an effort to carve out a semblance of identity, fulfillment and ultimately, survival. Aïssa Maïga, Thando Dlomo, Thapelo Mokoena and Warren Masemola also star in the series. 

Unsuspecting home cooks go head to head against world class chefs in the new ten episode series Outchef’d. Premiering September 27 on Food Network, confident home cooks think they are arriving for an audition – but get the surprise of their lives when they find out they are actually heading into a head-to-head competition against a world-class chef. These home cooks excel in their own kitchen – but do they have what it takes to succeed against an elite pro under the lights and cameras of a culinary battle? ID has renewed On the Case with Paula Zahn for a 25th season. The series features riveting storytelling and original interviews that go beyond the headlines to reveal first-person accounts and expert insights of those connected to the cases, showcasing the full scope and impact of murder. Season 25 premieres September 4. 

Disney+ has ordered Rivals an eight episode series based on the book by Jilly Cooper. The series follows a rivalry in the world of television in 1986. 

BBC has announced that they will air Blue Planet III, following up on the original two series. Also coming to the network is a reboot of Gladiators, a UK spinoff of American Gladiators. They will also be airing Junior Eurovision Song Contest. 

Two docuseries form the UK will premiere on Prime video in 2023. The Greatest Show Never Made reveals how, on a wet morning in June 2002, four cameras filmed 30 contestants who had travelled to a park in South East London, to take part in the biggest reality show on TV. The show is going to change their lives – and it is all captured on camera. They have quit their jobs and given up their homes to be here. Some have left long-term partners and sold their possessions; all want to escape the 9-5 grind, and start on the road to adventure, fame and fortune. It’s the new millennium and anything is possible.
