Splatoon 3 amiibo Unlocks Detailed, Here’s What You’ll Receive

Since the original Splatoon game, amiibo functionality has been supported. This feature returns in Splatoon 3, so what kind of unlocks can amiibo collector’s expect?

Destructoid has put together a list of all the unlocks. To activate your amiibo in Splatoon 3, you’ll need to find the amiibo stand in Splatsville. From there you scan your amiibo on your Switch controller, the amiibo will appear in game and you’ll receive an unlock. If you haven’t registered the amiibo yet, you’ll also need to go through that process.

The unlocks are a mix of cosmetic rewards from clothing, shoes and headgear. Destructoid mentions how it was unable to get four figures to scan or provide a reward, and mentioned how there’s a possible overlap in rewards. Here’s the rundown:

– Inkling Girl (Smash series) – No reward (further verification required)
– Inkling Girl (Orange) – No reward (further verification required)
– Inkling Boy (Blue) – No reward (further verification required)
– Inkling Squid (Green) – Power Armor (chest), Power Mask (head), Power Boots (feet)
– Callie – Hero Runner Replicas (feet), Hero Jacket Replica (chest), Hero Headset Replica (head)
– Marie – Armor Boot Replicas (feet), Armor Jacket Replica (chest), Armor Helmet Replica (head)

And if you’re wondering about amiibo that aren’t Splatoon-themed, here’s the message you’ll get when you try to use them:

“Please tap an amiibo that is compatible with Splatoon 3.”

There are more amiibo coming, but at this stage, it’s unknown what unlocks each one will activate.
