Disney+ Day kicked off with the surprise release of the concert film BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage – LA. The special showcases the live performances of the BTS concerts held at the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium Nov 27-28 and December 1-2. The concert film is stage-focused and includes performances of the group’s hit songs “Dynamite,” “Butter” and “Permission to Dance.” BTS, an acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond the Scene,” are a South Korean boy band that have been capturing the hearts of millions of fans globally since their debut in June 2013. BTS features RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.

Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire premieres on AMC October 2. The series follows Louis de Pointe du Lac, Lestat de Lioncourt and Claudia’s epic story of love, blood, and the perils of immortality, as told to journalist Daniel Molloy. Chafing at the limitations of life as a Black man in 1900s New Orleans, Louis finds it impossible to resist the rakish Lestat de Lioncourt’s offer of the ultimate escape: joining him as his vampire companion. But Louis’s intoxicating new powers come with a violent price, and the introduction of Lestat’s newest fledgling, the child vampire Claudia, soon sets them on a decades-long path of revenge and atonement. 

The third and final season of Star Trek: Picard will premiere February 16, 2023. The ten episode season features Patrick Stewart reprising his iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard, which he played for seven seasons on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and follows this iconic character into the next chapter of his life. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd star alongside Patrick Stewart in the third and final season.

Carol Kane will recur on the upcoming second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Kane will play an engineer in the Paramount+ series. The series follows the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike. 

Netflix’s The Mole revival series will launch as a ten episode, three week event series, premiering October 7. The new series will be hosted by journalist Alex Wagner, continuing the tradition of having a journalist as a host. The series is a high-stakes competition series and in this reimagined version, twelve players work together in challenges to add money to a pot that only one of them will win at the end. Among the players is one person who has secretly been designated “the Mole” and tasked with sabotaging the group’s money-making efforts. In the end, one player will outlast their competition and expose the Mole to win the prize pot. 

Dancing with the Stars has announced its upcoming celebrity cast for its 31st season and first on Disney+. Competing for the mirror ball trophy are Joseph Baena, Selma Blair, Wayne Brady, Sam Champion, Jessie James Decker, Trevor Donovan, Daniel Durant, Teresa Giudice, Vinny Guadagnino, Cheryl Ladd, Jason Lewis, Shangela, Jordin Sparks, Gabby Windey, Charli D’Amelio and Heidi D’Amelio. The live shows begin September 19. 

Hulu’s Solar Opposites has scheduled a Halloween special set for October 3. A Sinister Halloween Scary Opposites Solar Special comes after the recently released third season. Last season, the series aired a holiday special. 

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Mustafa Shakir, Terry Pheto and Lerato Mvelase have joined the cast of Showtime’s drama series King Shaka. The series is an epic drama centered around one man’s personal journey from stigmatized childhood to legendary king. They join previously announced cast Charles Babalola, Aïssa Maïga, Thando DIomo, Thapelo Mokoena, and Warren Masemola. 

Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves and Julia Schlaepfe have been cast in Paramount+’s upcoming series 1923. They join Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in the Yellowstone prequel series. The series will introduce a new generation of the Dutton family and explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home. 

HBO Max’s cooking competition series The Big Brunch premieres November 10. The eight episode series celebrates inspiring and undiscovered culinary voices from every corner of the country. Hosted by Dan Levy, the series gives ten talented chefs the opportunity to share their stories and business dreams while vying for a life altering $300,000 cash prize. Levy will also act as judge alongside fellow culinary experts chef Sohla El-Waylly and restaurateur Will Guidara. 

Oprah and Viola The Woman King premieres on OWN September 13. Oprah sits down with Viola Davis to discuss her new film, The Woman King. Davis reveals her grueling transformation into Nanisca, a general of an all-female army in 19th Century Africa. We hear from director Gina Prince-Bythewood and others in the cast. 

Anna Konkle will star in Freevee’s comedy pilot Western. The 1800s set series follows a woman who heads west for love, only to find out she has been catfished. 

Lee Jung-Jae will star in Disney+’s The Acolyte. The original Star Wars series also stars Amandla Steinberg and Jodi Smith-Turner. 

Claire Danes will star in HBO Max limited series Full Circle. The six episode series from Steven Soderbergh also stars Zazie Beetz. 

Omar Sy has been cast in Netflix’s upcoming live action Yasuke series. Sy will play Yasuke, an African samurai in Japan in the five episode series. The streamer previously adapted the story as an anime. 

Hulu’s Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem has announced recurring cast for the upcoming series. Linda Emond, Jayne Atkinson, Jack Cutmore-Scott, Michael Gladis, Lisa Lu, Danny Johnson, Karoline, Jere Burns, Tamberla Perry, David Marshall Grant, and Sophia Reid Gantzert. The ten episode series stars Mandy Patinkin. 

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, production on The Crown has paused. The Netflix series chronicles the life of the monarch and her family. The upcoming fifth season will premiere in November with the final season currently in production. 

Season 17 of Rachael Ray premieres September 12 from her home in Tuscany, Italy. In the show’s first ever two-day premiere event, Rachael and her husband, John, will take viewers on an exclusive tour of their Tuscany property, which they transformed from a stable to their dream home. Plus, Rach is sharing her favorite places in the neighboring towns — from restaurants to shops and more. 

The Rich Eisen Show premieres on The Roku Channel September 12. The series features an engaging mix of sports, humor, and pop culture, while attracting the most recognizable names in sports and entertainment. 

Melvin Robert has joined Extra as Senior Correspondent and Weekend Co-Host. Season 29 of Extra premieres September 12 featuring interviews with Jennifer Hudson, Oprah Winfrey and former First Lady Hilary Clinton. 

The Peripheral premieres on Prime Video October 21. New episodes will premiere weekly through December 9. The Peripheral centers on Flynne Fisher, a woman trying to hold together the pieces of her broken family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow’s America. Flynne is smart, ambitious, and doomed. She has no future; until the future comes calling for her. The series is based on the novel by William Gibson and offers a dazzling, hallucinatory glimpse into the fate of mankind – and what lies beyond. 

In honor of Star Trek Day, fans were given an exclusive look at the filming of Star Trek: Discovery’s fifth season in Toronto. The behind-the-scenes video features series stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Wilson Cruz and more cast members including Anthony Rapp, Mary Wiseman, Blu del Barrio as well as series costume designer Anthony Tran. The tour also includes never-before-seen easter eggs on set, a cast member wardrobe fitting, and more from the upcoming season. 

Episodes 14-24 of the Netflix’s BASTARD‼ -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- premiere September 15. As Abgail gets closer to awakening the ancient God of Destruction, Dark Schneider and his allies must face a growing threat from dark forces.

Season three of Star Trek: Lower Decks is currently airing on Paramount+. The new season challenges the U.S.S. Cerritos ensigns in (hilarious) ways they could never imagine, starting with a shocking resolution for season two’s epic cliffhanger finale. 

Season two of Messyness premieres on MTV September 15. Hosted by Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, comedic clip series is a spinoff of Ridiculousness. The series showcases people living their best lives and being brave enough to celebrate their own messiness. Returning this season alongside Polizzi is an all-star panel of celebrities including actor and reality star Tori Spelling, Olympic medalist Adam Rippon and posthumously, Teddy Ray. In dedication to Teddy Ray, the new season will feature a moving tribute to kick off the premieres celebrating Teddy’s humor.

Star Trek: Prodigy returns to Paramount+ with its midseason premiere October 27. Billy Campbell will be joining the season one voice cast with a recurring role, reprising his Star Trek: The Next Generation role as Thadiun Okona, a roguish space captain who’s constantly outrunning trouble caused by his own tactics. When he runs into the young, impressionable Protostar crew, he’ll soon discover they are in more hot water than he is. 

Docuseries Horsepower premieres on Prime Video September 23. The series provides hitherto unseen access and insight to the world of horse racing.

AXS TV’s The Very VERY Best of the 80s, hosted by Kelly Osbourne, will premiere October 4. The series takes viewers on a nostalgia-fueled journey through the bodacious popular culture that made the decade most triumphant – and continues to captivate fans both old and new to this day. 

In conjunction with Thursday Night Football, Prime Video announced the new weekly show The NFL Pile On Presented by Carnival Cruise Line. The series is a comedic review of the NFL week that was. The series hosted by Taran Killam will air every Wednesday throughout the season, one day in advance of Prime Video’s weekly Thursday Night Football coverage.
