Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are always going to make their kids their first priority — no matter what.
Despite the lovebirds tying the knot three times this year, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum revealed on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on Tuesday that she and Travis still have not moved in together! Wait, WHAT?! They don’t live together?! The reigning PDA champs sleep in separate houses?! Apparently so.
As for why? Well, Kourt told host Amanda Hirsch that it all has to do with figuring out their blended family situation. She explained:
“I think we’re in the place where we’re figuring out how to blend our households and our kids. For the most part…we’re getting those things in place. We do family dinner every Sunday night with all the kids at his house.”
His house. So weird for a married couple to be saying, right??

As you know, Kourtney shares 12-year-old Mason, 10-year-old Penelope, and 7-year-old Reign with ex Scott Disick while Travis shares 18-year-old son Landon, 16-year-old daughter Alabama and 23-year-old stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. While they live separately right now, the 43-year-old reality star also said she and Travis do have plans to fully move in together and have even looked for a home. However, they have not found the right one for their family yet. Beyond that, Kourtney noted that she also wants to make sure everyone is 100 percent “comfortable” before their kids move into the same home:
“There will be [a joint house]. We want our kids to also feel really comfortable and they have both lived in their homes their whole lives, for the most part, and they each have their rooms. And we are a block away.”
We guess it makes sense. They’re so close — and they can obviously afford to keep both houses as long as they need to.
But later in the podcast, Kourtney gave a bit more detail about a complication to blending the households. And it has to do with Penelope. The Kardashians star shared that she still co-sleeps with the 10-year-old, saying:
“She’s slept with me every day since she was born and pretty much still does. Unless she has a friend sleep over or unless she leaves me to go sleep at Travis’ [husband Travis Barker] or Auntie Coco’s [Khloe Kardashian] or Auntie Kiki’s [Kim Kardashian]. But besides that, we are so close.”
Hmm. Remember that time an expert has said her “attachment parenting” style was part of the reason for the downfall of her relationship with Scott? (Though clearly not the only reason.)
Amanda, however, applauded Kourtney for being an “all in” mom who “doesn’t follow any of the rules that [she’s] supposed to.” The television personality agreed, adding that Penelope is her “mini-me”:
“I can’t even explain it, she is my girl that I do not worry about. Simon [Huck] always says she’s a mini-me, to her core. But we’ve spent so much time together and spend so much time together. And I just don’t worry about her.”
Of course, there is nothing wrong with a parent co-sleeping with their child! Every family is different, and every child has their own needs. But we can imagine that might have put some roadblocks to Travis and Kourtney moving in together! Obviously she couldn’t still sleep in the bed if Travis was sleeping in it every night… right?
Nevertheless, while Kourtney and Travis may not live in the same home or sleep in the same bed most nights, that does not mean the couple doesn’t get some quality time alone. Kourtney explained she usually stays over at Travis’ home when her three children are at Scott’s house:
“There’s still nights when we’ll stay at each other’s houses in-between, but I get up at 6 in the morning and I carpool every morning. And then I go straight to his house and have matcha, he has it ready for me. And then we have matcha and talk and hangout and workout together and then we start our day.”
Kourtney also noted that the 46-year-old musician comes to her home every night “no matter what.” That’s sweet! And possibly steamy…
