Netflix has ordered a third season of the musical comedy series Girls5eva. Netflix will be the exclusive home to the third season and it has also acquired co-exclusive global streaming rights to the first two seasons which aired on Peacock. The series follows a one-hit-wonder girl group from the ’90s who reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot. They may be grown women balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents, and shoulder pain, but can’t they also be Girls5eva? 

Season two of Gossip Girl premieres December 1 on HBO Max. It’s the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives/spin the scandalous lies of Manhattan’s elite. She’s learned a thing or two from her first go-round – namely what her audience wants, they shall get. It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering (Julien, have you met Monet?) as well as look at her own impact, and how she can make it more catastrophic than it was before. Even if that means lying to do it. Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands – this semester, there can only be one queen, and by the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried, and just who was holding the shovel. 

1923 will premiere on Paramount+ December 18. The Yellowstone origin story introduces a new generation of Duttons. Starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, the series will explore the early 20th century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west and the Duttons who call it home. 

The Santa Clauses premieres on Disney+ November 16 with two episodes. The remaining four episodes will release one episode weekly. Scott Calvin is back! After being Santa Claus for nearly thirty years, he’s as jolly as ever. But as Christmas declines in popularity, so does his Santa magic. Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family. Upon discovering there is a way to retire from his post, Scott considers stepping down as Santa Claus and finding a worthy successor so that he can become a better father and husband. 

Season four of Miracle Workers will premiere on TBS January 16. The new season, titled Miracle Workers: End Times, takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, where a wasteland warrior and a ruthless warlord face the most dystopian nightmare of all: settling down in the suburbs. Together they navigate the existential horrors of married life and small-town living, all under the dubious guidance of a wealthy junk trader. 

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan returns for season three on Prime Video December 21. Jack Ryan is working as a CIA case officer in Rome, when he is tipped off that the Sokol Project, a secret plan to restore the Soviet Empire, is being resurrected more than 50 years after it was thought to have been shut down. Jack embarks on a mission to confirm the intelligence, but things quickly go awry, and he is wrongly implicated in a larger conspiracy. Accused of treason, with a Red Notice out for his arrest, Jack is forced to run from his own government, if he has any hope of uncovering the rogue faction before it’s too late. Crisscrossing Europe as he is hunted by former allies and new enemies alike, Jack races against the clock to stop the cascade of destabilizing conflicts from leading to global catastrophe. 

Peacock’s new series The Calling will premiere November 10 with all eight episodes. The series tells the story of NYPD Detective Avraham Avraham, whose belief in mankind is his superpower when it comes to uncovering the truth. Guided by a deep sense of spirituality and religious principles, Avraham is left to question his own humanity when a seemingly routine investigation turns upside down.

Prime Video has ordered a new crime and mystery series titled Cross. The series is a complex, twisted, pulse-pounding thriller created by producer and writer Ben Watkins, based on the worldwide best-selling Alex Cross book series by James Patterson. Alex Cross is a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify – and ultimately capture – the murderers. Aldis Hodge will portray Alex Cross. 

Amy Schumer will return to host Saturday Night Live November 5 on NBC. Steve Lacy will serve as musical guest. This will be Schumer’s third time hosting while it will be Lacy’s first time performing. 

Starz has renewed The Serpent Queen for a second season. The new eight episode season announcement comes ahead of the first season finale October 30. The series puts a contemporary spin on conventional storytelling to tell the tale of Catherine de Medici who against all odds, became one of the most powerful and longest-serving rulers in French history. 

Showtime has canceled City On A Hill after three seasons. The drama series starred Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge. 

Ravi Patel will star in Fox’s upcoming comedy series Animal Control. He joins Joel McHale and Vella Lovell in the series which will premiere sometime at midseason. 

Betsy Brandt and Michael Par have been cast in hulu’s Saint X. They join Alycia Debnam-Carey, Josh Bonzie, West Duchovny and Jayden Elijah in the eight episode psychological drama based on the book by Alexis Schaitkin. 

Simone Kirby has joined the cast of Apple TV+’s The Buccaneers. She joins Christina Hendricks, Kristine Froseth and Alisha Boe in the series based on the book of the same name. 

Yaya DaCosta has been cast in Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer. She will recur in the upcoming second season as a prosecutor. 

FX has ordered a pilot for The Bends. The potential series will be based on Gerald Seymour’s book Killing Ground. 

NBC has extended options on its pilot The Irrational. This will give the network more time to decide whether to order the pilot starring Jesse L. Martin to series. 

Netflix is developing a potential limited series titled Black Rabbit. Jason Bateman and Jude Law would star in the potential series with Bateman also set to direct. 

CBS is developing a comedy from Dan Bucatinsky titled She Gets It From Me. The semi-autobiographical series would potentially star Cristela Alonzo with Bucatinsky potentially joining the cast as well. 

Fixer to Fabulous returns for a new season on HGTV November 29. Home renovation and design experts Dave and Jenny Marrs will carry out more stunning renovations. The 16 new episodes will follow the duo, based in Bentonville, Arkansas, as they transform homes while raising five young children and managing their family farm. Jenny, the creative influence behind their personalized renovations, specializes in designing spaces that are warm and welcoming for families. Dave tackles construction and custom-built furniture with skill and confidence that stems from his passion for reviving old homes. 

Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD are getting into the holiday spirit with holiday themed episodes. ABC’s new stop motion special Mickey Saves Christmas will simulcast on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD November 27. December 2, The Villains of Valley View, BUNK’D, and Raven’s Home will air holiday episodes on Disney Channel. Big City Greens will air its holiday episode December 3 on Disney Channel and December 5 on Disney XD. Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends will air its holiday episode November 11 on Disney Channel and Disney Junior. Puppy Dog Pals will air its special December 1 on Disney Junior. Firebuds will air its holiday special November 28 on Disney Channel and December 2 on Disney Junior. Alice’s Wonderland Bakery will air its holiday special November 29 on Disney Junior and December 2 on Disney Channel. Eureka! will air its holiday episode November 30 on Disney Junior. 

Big Freedia Means Business will premiere on Fuse in 2023. In the series, the New Orleans-born innovator of bounce music explores all of the music and entrepreneurial opportunities that have opened up to her since she was last seen in the hit docuseries Big Freedia Bounces Back. 

The World Electronic Music Awards will air for the first time on TV May 27 on The CW. Filmed in Las Vegas in the run-up to the world’s preeminent EDM festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, the two-hour primetime event will honor the best in electronic music from the United States, Europe and Asia and will feature the first Electronic Music Hall of Fame inductions. Performers and hosts will be announced in the coming months.

Alan Jackson will receive the 2022 CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at The 56th Annual CMA Awards. Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood and Lainey Wilson will take the CMA Awards stage for an all-star tribute to the Country Music Hall of Fame member. The ceremony will air live on ABC November 9. 

U2’s Bono will join CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for an interview and solo performances November 3. It is his only late-night appearance while on tour for his memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story. The book reflects on the remarkable life he’s lived, the challenges he’s faced and the friends and family who have shaped and sustained him. 

Ava Max, Bebe Rexha, David Guetta, Gorillaz, Lewis Capaldi and Muse will perform at the 2022 MTV EMAs. Hosted by Rita Ora and Taika Waititi, the ceremony will air live from the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany November 13 on MTV.
