The Hacienda: The Club That Shook Britain, Saturday, 22.15, BBC2

This doc seemingly doesn’t have a Factory catalogue number, but other than that it does appear to be pretty much the definitive story of the club. Like so many of Tony Wilson’s ventures it certainly generated more in terms of memories and cultural legacy than any actual money, the whole thing famously never turning a profit as the revellers never bought anything in the bars. But it seems like everyone who attended it went on and formed a band or became a major DJ, hence we’ll be hearing from the likes of Peter Hook, Noel Gallagher and Shaun Ryder.
