Vikings: Valhalla returns for season two January 12 on Netflix. Set over a thousand years ago in the early 11th century, the series chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived – the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson, his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter, and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson. The eight episode second season finds our heroes shortly after the tragic fall of Kattegat; an event that has shattered their dreams and altered their destinies. Finding themselves suddenly fugitives in Scandinavia they are forced to test their ambitions and courage in worlds beyond the fjords of Kattegat. 

Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party returns with a new co-host, Dolly Parton. The star studded event will feature an A-list lineup of musical performances and special guests to be announced. It airs live from Miami December 31 on NBC. 

Season two of The Game premieres on Paramount+ December 15 with two episodes. The ten episode season offers a modern-day examination of Black culture through the prism of professional football. The beloved characters tackle racism, sexism, classism and more as they fight for fame, fortune, respect and love – all while trying to maintain their souls as they each play The Game. The second season doubles the laughs and heightens the drama as they fight to survive the storms of change. 

NBC’s new game show The Wheel premieres December 19. Hosted by British comedian Michael McIntyre, the all-new U.S. version showcases a colossal spinning wheel of celebrity guests who help everyday contestants win life-changing money. New episodes will air nightly at 10 the week of December 19. The second week, episodes will air nightly at 8. The series features suspenseful high-stakes trivia, laugh-out-loud moments and more than 50 all-star guests seated on a spectacular 42-foot-wide spinning wheel. Limited series Treason premieres on Netflix December 26. The five episode series stars Charlie Cox, Olga Kurylenko, Oona Chaplin, Ciarán Hinds and Tracy Ifeachor. It comes from the writer of Bridge of Spies.

HGTV has renewed No Demo Reno for a twelve episode new season. Jenn Todryk will continue to create breathtaking home renovations for clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area without major demolition. The busy mom of three, who captivates her social audience with her hilarious and relatable family life, offers clever design solutions and inspiring cost-saving ideas that translate into stunning home overhauls – often without removing walls or tackling large-scale demo. The new season will premiere in summer 2023. 

Cheryl Burke will be exiting Dancing with the Stars following the finale on Disney+. The dancer is the longest running partner on the series. Head judge Len Goodman will also be exiting the series after the finale. 

Eddie Cibrian and Daniella Pineda have joined the cast of ABC’s Home Economics. They will both recur in the current third season of the comedy season. 

Keith Carradine, Jason Ritter, Betsy Brandt, and Wrenn Schmidt will appear in the upcoming Fox series Accused. Each episode features a new case and a new cast. 

Ash Santos has been cast in season two of Mayor of Kingstown. The Paramount+ series returns for season two January 15. 

Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs returns for a new season on Discovery Channel December 11. The series reveals the hardworking Americans who have found their way to some of the most extraordinary jobs that make civilized life for the rest of us possible. Every episode of this fan-favorite series celebrates the unsung heroes and the communities that rely on these essential jobs across industries, ranging from construction to sanitation, manufacturing and more. And for Mike, the dirtier the job the better this season, as he tackles each with gusto and a no-nonsense approach which Discovery audiences respect and admire. 

Kandi & the Gang will not be returning for a second season on Bravo. Star Kandi Burruss revealed the network did not order more episodes of the series which followed her as she managed her restaurant. 

Mariah Carey, lovingly known as the Queen of Christmas, is set for an exclusive magical performance in the 96th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, November 24 on NBC and Peacock. As the clock nears noon, Carey will join the celebration in a historic parade finale to perform her iconic anthem “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Serial Killer Capital: Baton Rouge premieres on Oxygen December 10. The beautiful city of Baton Rouge was paralyzed by fear for nearly a decade as 36 women were murdered in erratic and unpredictable ways throughout the city. As serial killers walked free, the horrific murders created confusion and inconsistencies with no pattern or matching victimology. With thousands of false leads and dozens of false suspects, police struggled to profile and pinpoint a killer behind the spree of vicious attacks. Police followed dead end after dead end, but after a terrifying interrogation with a serial killer, combined with uncovered evidence, it was finally revealed that there was not only one serial killer, but multiple unrelated, overlapping murderers stalking the bayou throughout the same period. The three-hour special features families of victims speaking for the first time, first-hand survivor accounts and interviews with law enforcement who eventually find justice for many of the murdered women. 

Byron Allen Presents theGrio Awards will air on CBS November 26. The special pays tribute to and amplifies the history makers, change agents and artists who define and influence our world. Co-hosted by Sheryl Underwood and Taye Diggs, the two hour even honors Dave Chappelle, Ben Crump, Allyson Felix, Jennifer Hudson, Patti LaBelle, Queen Latifah, Norman Lear, Alena Analeigh McQuarter, Don Peebles, Tyler Perry, Robert F. Smith and Kenan Thompson.

The special will spotlight world-renowned artist, Dale Chihuly and his incredible mark on the world of glass. It takes a deeper dive into the people, places and things that Chihuly has collected in his life; revealing a man whose keen eye for beauty and connection will leave behind an enduring legacy. 

ESPN has signed an extension with the International Federation of Competitive Eating (IFOCE) on a new, multi-year deal to keep ESPN as the exclusive domestic partner for the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest through 2029. Last year, the event returned to the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues in Coney Island, where professional eater Joey Chestnut defended his Mustard-yellow Belt for his record-setting 15th victory on the men’s side, and had professional eater Miki Sudo return to the head position on the podium for her eighth Pink Belt. 

ID announced a 46th fugitive is now in custody after being featured on In Pursuit with John Walsh. The fugitive made his national appearance on the finale episode, titled “Last Ride,” which aired on November 9 and was arrested on November 15. The tip that came in after the show aired helped authorities develop his location further, and ultimately led to the arrest. All four seasons of In Pursuit are available to stream now on discovery+.
