Nothing Like A Dame, Thursday, 19.45, BBC4

This has had quite a few outings over recent years, though none the worse for that, especially now it’s not just a tribute to four great actresses but also to its director Roger Michell, who died last year. Good that he got to make this before he died, something of a passion project for him as he got together four of his favourite actors – Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Joan Plowright and Eileen Atkins – to swap stories, many of them wonderfully foul-mouthed, about their wonderful careers and have a really lovely time together.
