Beef will premiere on Netflix April 6. The ten episode series follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers. Danny Cho, a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau, a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series. It stars Steven Yeun & Ali Wong, Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and Patti Yasutake. Guest stars include Maria Bello, Ashley Park, Justin H. Min, Mia Serafino, and Remy Holt. 

CBS has renamed their upcoming drama series from The Never Game to Tracker. The series starring Justin Hartley follows lone-wolf survivalist Colter Shaw, who roams the country as a “reward seeker,” using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. Robin Weigert, Abby McEnany, Eric Graise and Fiona Rene also star. The series is based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver. The series will air in the 2023-2024 broadcast season. 

Unseen will premiere on Netflix March 29. The series is a thought-provoking crime thriller about a timid and seemingly common cleaning lady, Zenzi Mwale, who while undertaking a desperate search for her husband who went missing after his release from prison, unexpectedly commits the murder of a crime syndicate’s key player.

Bupkis will premiere on Peacock May 4. The half-hour live action comedy is a heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. The series will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known. The series also stars Edie Falco and Joe Pesci. Guest stars include Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson and Chase Sui Wonders. 

Disney+ has canceled Willow after one season. The series is based on the film of the same name. In the series, Willow leads a group of misfit heroes on a dangerous rescue mission through a world beyond their wildest imaginations.

FX’s thriller limited series Class of ‘09 will premiere May 10 on hulu. The premiere will include the first two episodes of the eight-episode series, with a new episode each following week. The series follows a class of FBI agents set in three distinct points in time who grapple with immense changes as the U.S. criminal justice system is altered by artificial intelligence. Spanning multiple decades and told across interweaving timelines, the series examines the nature of justice, humanity and the choices we make that ultimately define our lives and legacy. The series stars Brian Tyree and Kate Mara along with Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, Jon Jon Briones, Brooke Smith, Jake McDorman, and Rosalind Eleazar. 

Peacock has ordered a Monk movie followup starring Tony Shalhoub titled Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie. Monk returns to solve one last, very personal case involving his beloved step-daughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding. Original series stars Ted Levine,  Traylor Howard, Jason Gray-Stanford, Melora Hardin, and Hector Elizondo will reunite with Shalhoub. The movie will also come from the original creative team, including creator, executive producer and writer Andy Breckman, executive producer David Hoberman, executive producer/director Randy Zisk.

A TV series based on the movie Gattaca is in development. The potential series takes place years after the events of the film which starred Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.

Four new Let’s Make a Deal Primetime episodes will air on CBS beginning April 19. Jordin Sparks helps celebrate the U.S. military in the first episode. Over $3 Million in cash and prizes are up for grabs, plus a new game is unveiled. 

Season four of Below Deck Sailing Yacht will premiere April 10 on Bravo. Returning this season are Capt. Glenn Shephard and veteran department heads Daisy Kelliher (Chief Stew), Gary King (First Mate) and Colin MacRae (Chief Engineer). New crew members include Chef Ileisha Dell, stews Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera and deckhands Chase Lemacks and Alex Propson. 

Docuseries Redefined: J.R. Smith will premiere on Prime Video April 4. The four episode series follows retired NBA star J.R. Smith, as he pursues a college education and new athletic passion at North Carolina A&T. Drafted to the NBA straight out of high school at just 19 years old, J.R. suddenly finds himself without an NBA team to call home and in search of redefining his life and career. The series picks up with J.R. as he sets a new intention for himself, getting a college education and pursuing a new athletic passion as a member of the Men’s Golf Team at North Carolina A&T, the nation’s largest Historically Black University. 

HGTV’s new series Home in a Heartbeat will premiere April 19. The eight episode series follows Galey Alix, a full time Wall Street executive and DIY design dynamo on the weekends, as she uses her extraordinary do-it-yourself skills to give homeowners a new lease on life in just a few days’ time. In each episode, she and her talented team will work unrelenting hours to turn out stunning home renovations that will provide these families, who are all selected from her massive social media following, the lift they’ve been needing. 

Comedy special John Mulaney: Baby J will premiere on Netflix April 25. The special was shot in Boston’s Symphony Hall in February 2023. This is Mulaney’s third Netflix stand-up special following The Comeback Kid (2015) and Kid Gorgeous (2018). Netflix also premiered Mulaney’s variety special John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch in 2019. 

Michaela Conlin has been cast in ABC’s comedy pilot Drop-Off. She joins Ellie Kemper, Judy Greer and Karan Soni in the potential series based on the British series Motherland. 

Danny Pino has been cast in MGM+’s crime thriller Hotel Cocaine. The series follows Roman Compte, Cuban exile, CIA operative, and general manager of the The Mutiny Hotel, the glamorous epicenter of the Miami cocaine scene of late ’70s and early ’80s. The Mutiny Hotel was Casablanca on cocaine, a glitzy nightclub, restaurant, and hotel frequented by Florida businessmen and politicians, international narcos, CIA and FBI agents, models, sports stars, and musicians. Compte was at the center, doing his best to keep it all going and fulfill his own American Dream.

Reid Scott and François Arnaud have been cast in ABC’s pilot Judgement. They join Sarah Shahi in the potential legal soap series. 

Georgia Flood, Conor Merrigan Turner and Essie Randles have been cast in Peacock’s Apples Never Fall. They join Annette Bening, Sam Neill, Jake Lacy and Alison Brie in the limited series based on the book by Liane Moriarty. 

Netflix’s docuseries American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing will premiere April 12. The three episode series explores the Boston Marathon bombing and the manhunt. 

A new Doctor Who spinoff series focusing on Kate Stewart and UNIT is coming. Jemma Redgrave has appeared in multiple episodes over the course of the revival series. 

Channel 4 has renewed comedy series Taskmaster for six seasons. The British network has also ordered a spinoff series, Junior Taskmaster. The new series will feature kids and teenages. 

Prime Video has renewed LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? for two more seasons. Patrick Huard will return as host of the Quebec series and feature an all-French-speaking cast.

Natural history series Chasing the Rains premieres on BBC America and AMC+ April 22. Masterfully narrated by Adjoa Andoh, the three-part series, including a fourth “Making Of” Special that will be available on AMC+ only, takes viewers on a journey into one of the most majestic, unspoiled, and rarely filmed areas of wilderness in Africa.
