JoJo Siwa has a message for Candace Owens: “Back the f**k off.”
For those who don’t know, the drama between the pair began when the 33-year-old conservative commentator shared a roughly six-minute video on Twitter Tuesday, in which she suggested that the 19-year-old performer is “lying about being lesbian” because she wants “attention.” She said in the clip:
“I don’t believe JoJo Siwa is a lesbian, by the way. I want to state that very clearly. I do believe that she’s desperate for attention.”
WTF?! Candace then went on to react to one of JoJo’s old videos from TikTok about her “gay awakening.” Basically, the former Nickelodeon star said she realized she was gay after hearing Demi Lovato’s popular song Cool for the Summer, repeat-watching Jenna Dewan’s Lip Sync Battle performance of a Magic Mike number, and not wanting to be intimate with a guy she went out with once. And of course, Candace had something to negative say about this video. For the talk show host, she felt these reasons made “absolutely no sense” to her and was nothing more than JoJo’s way of trying to gain “attention” from fans:
“One plus one plus one must equal ‘I’m a lesbo.’ The idea here is that she suddenly realized she’s a lesbian because she had a bad date and liked the way Jenna Dewan danced. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. It’s very clear to me she did that video for attention. She got attention because it’s a great way to find a community of victims.”
Ugh, seriously?! She had more to say on the matter, but we won’t make you suffer through the rest of the hateful and bigoted content. But apparently, JoJo caught wind of Candace’s comments a couple of days later and was not standing for it! She took to Twitter on Thursday to slam the television personality, writing:
“I haven’t watched the video yet…. But if it has anything to do with your caption, respectfully back the f**k off.”
