Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Delayed To 2024

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed to 2024. In a social media post, developer Rocksteady confirmed that the action game is now slated to release on February 2, 2024.

“We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players,” Rocksteady said. “Thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, patience, and understanding. There is much more to share in the months ahead and we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year.”

This new delay announcement is no big surprise. After all, it was reported in March this year that the game might slip to 2024. The game was previously scheduled to release at the end of May 2023. Kill the Justice League was, at one point, set for release in 2022.

Kill the Justice League was featured during a February 2023 State of Play broadcast for PlayStation with an extended gameplay demo. Some people didn’t like the live-service approach, but Rocksteady is apparently not going to change its plans.

WB’s first big game of 2023, Hogwarts Legacy, sold 12 million copies and drove $850 million in revenue after its first two weeks.

Kill the Justice League is being developed by Rocksteady, the studio behind the Batman: Arkham series. This canonically takes place in the same universe, but ventures outside of Gotham and into Metropolis. The story centers around Task Force X, aka the Suicide Squad, being deployed to stop the Justice League after it’s taken over by Brainiac. It will also feature the late voice actor Kevin Conroy, reprising his role as Batman for one of his last performances.
