Capcom And Higround Announce Street Fighter Keyboard Line

Capcom has announced a new partnership with gaming peripheral brand Higround to launch a line of Street Fighter-themed gaming keyboards, which will feature characters and famous artwork from the fighting franchise’s storied history.

The Street Fighter keyboards will feature three different themes:

  • A close-up of Akuma with an outstretched fist, as drawn by artist Edayan for Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo Revival in 2001
  • Ryu and Chun-Li performing the Hadoken and Lightning Kicks respectively, which uses artwork drawn during Street Fighter II’s development.
  • A mash-up of character key-art from Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, with characters including Ken, Blanka, Dhalsim, and more highlighted.

Higround will also release a trio of extended mouse pads along with the keyboards, with each pad also featuring famous art from the early years of Street Fighter. The options for mouse pads include Guile’s stage from Street Fighter 2, a recreation of the “Presented By Capcom” screen shown after finishing SSF2T, and the same Ryu and Chun-Li art featured on one of the keyboards.

The Street Fighter collaboration marks the first time Higround–which previously collaborated on Sonic the Hedgehog and Attack on Titan products–will offer their periphreals outside of the US. To celebrate, a limited-edition red version of the Akuma keyboard will be available exclusively in Japan.

The Street Fighter keyboards will be available for preorder on Higround’s website on April 19 at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET. Preorders will only be available for a few days, with the window officially closing on April 24.
